A question I copy from a thread starter in a local popular forum.

Was walking home with a bestie (guy) & he mentioned that he aimed to earn 5K a month by age of 30..

Just wondering if this is considered the norm or too little?

Opinions pls.~!

Hmm he is thinking about the civil sector..

I told him that 5K is considered little given the cost of living in Sg..
Should be at least 6-7K.

But then after saying that got some guys said that my thinking belonged to those typical pink IC women.

I don’t think it’s a case of being materialistic leh, i thought that’s being realistic.

What do you all think?

I’m over 30 and yet to reach half her expectation. WTF!

I got to admit that I did spent alot more that I should for the past few months. Love and I promise to do something about it and we’ve decided. Our passion to travel is still burning big and we should continue to work on it.

Start saving now and 20 mths later, we may have one of our dream places to visit for my graduation holiday if possible.

Looking forward again.

Erm…Hmm..Oooo…Should I…?

SM Goh said student should be world-ready. what he meant was students should be informed about local and global affairs and navigated into oversea.

Me, a soon-to-be student is not quite interested in global affair and rather on how could I survive locally. Just in my early thirties, everything evolved around me seem to be moving forward in a very fast space. Studying oversea is unthinkable, working oversea is incalculable, and living oversea is improbable.

Everything is about the dollar sign. I should have start earlier and done something to make it happen. You’ll say its still possible.

I know and I swear I’m not complaining. I’m just ranting.

Working happily is not only with passion to keep it going but able to do what you like.

This is what I trying to and i’m doing that right now.
