Erm…Hmm..Oooo…Should I…?

SM Goh said student should be world-ready. what he meant was students should be informed about local and global affairs and navigated into oversea.

Me, a soon-to-be student is not quite interested in global affair and rather on how could I survive locally. Just in my early thirties, everything evolved around me seem to be moving forward in a very fast space. Studying oversea is unthinkable, working oversea is incalculable, and living oversea is improbable.

Everything is about the dollar sign. I should have start earlier and done something to make it happen. You’ll say its still possible.

I know and I swear I’m not complaining. I’m just ranting.

Working happily is not only with passion to keep it going but able to do what you like.

This is what I trying to and i’m doing that right now.

Eating is enjoyable, I couldn’t disagree. My weekend always scheduled our eating session and that weekend is no exception. On Friday, we have our dinner at Holiday Inn Parkview – Window on the Park Cafe (Return to Eat?: No Way!). Come Sunday, we had our breakfast at Canelé Pâtisserie Chocolaterie (Return to Eat?: YES!) and follow up with a relaxing massage at Spa Infinity. End the weekend watching Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past.

After work on Saturday, drove to Sunset Way for lunch at Peaberry and Pretzel (Return to Eat?: YES!) and end the day lazing at home. Breakfast a must on weekend-Sunday, this time at Petit Provence (Return to Eat?: Maybe). Laze in the noon and end the night having dinner at the restaurant in D’Kranji farm Resort (Return to Eat?: YES!).

Once again, I enjoy my weekends.

See! I told you Chrysler Cab meter is spoilt. I’m right.

Another week had passed and I’m enjoying it. Went Suntec yesterday, having our lunch at Soup Restaurant (must try: Samsui Chicken), and visited Aquarama 2009(I would say disappointing this year). Oh yes bought a book by Robert Kiyosaki at Harris and Love purchased few cosmetics products by Bella Pierre. Cure my coffee crave at Gloria Jean’s Coffee(I think I will not take a liking to Mocha Java), took a small bite at Auntie Anne’s Pretzels(all times favourite: sour cream) and end our night watching Night at the Museum 2.(verdict:must watch!).

Woke up early today because we had facial appointment at FIL, and breakfast at Peach Garden(must try: salted egg custard bun). Well, have a good nap in the noon(No lunch ), and just woke up to write this entry. I think I got to find my dinner now.

I like my weekend!

I hope I’m part of it but sadly, I can’t. I should say I’m robbed from it.

Eat With Your Family Day 2009

I admit I did something wrong but the punishment is just too heavy. Don’t be dishonest and do grow up as a upright man. This is what we learned, I think from moral education back in school? Let rewind what actually happened.

I bought 2 carrot cakes & 2 curry puffs for me and my clerk as breakfast. Total cost – $3.80, pay a red $10.00 bill note and got my change – $9.20. Without hesitation, I walked away, to the taxi stand. Good. A short queue.

A Maxi Cab arrived, the one in front of me boarded it. Phew! I think (thought there is additional charges). Next comes my cab – The Chrysler Cab. I boarded it, yes I did and because I’m late. -_-”

Taxi uncle politely told me the cab had an additional $5 surcharge. I can’t decline, could I? Along the way, I have a question for Mr Taxi uncle but I decided not to put it up. I think the meter is spoilt.

At last, I reached my destination, total cost – $24.00. I confirmed and concluded that the meter is spoilt, I paid $14.00 the other time for a non-chrysler cab. -_-”

I earn $3.00 but I spent $7.00 more. I think I’m truly in a recession now. Retribution huh?

Woke up at about 8am, with Love commented not having a good sleep due to previous night DVD viewing – “Marley and me”. As usual, day starts with hearty breakfast, this time at Subway. Newspaper reading a must for us after breakfast and followed by a short nap.

Lunch dines at Xin Wang HongKong Cafe and tv programs viewing  for the rest of the day. Today dinner comes with home cooked food and again, tv programs viewing followed after. Well, another as usual – Sunday.

TGIF! We have our dinner at Verve (courtesy  from Love). Starters have wrapped ham with mozzarella cheese plus grilled portobello mushroom and main course with peking duck pizza (8″). Drinks? Cocktail for Love and usual long black for me.

Love enjoyed most, I think probably because of the balsamic vinegar :p. Nice cosy place with good food and we’ll return for more, for sure. Thumbs up!
